About Us
Brier Creek Elementary was established in 2006. We currently have 636 students and 30 teachers. Our school mascot is the Brier Creek Jets. We are using SchoolHeart to help us purchase a shade cover for the playground. Thanks for visiting our site. Brier Creek Elementary has been recognized as a 2006-07 North Carolina Honor School of Excellence! Based on third through fifth grade students’ End-of-Grade ( EOG) test results, 90% of our students scored at or above grade level and met all the benchmarks for the federal No Child Left Behind legislation. All students were assessed in math and reading, and 4th graders were assessed in writing. A banner will be hung in the front entrance area to highlight our students’ first year accomplishment. We are proud of all of our students’ academic achievement kindergarten through fifth grade. Just stop by and see how busy we are as a community of learners.
This is the time to give thanks for the many gifts we have in our lives. A special thank you for your involvement with our school and in the support you give your child everyday. I see many of you at carpool or during the day for conferences or volunteering. You care and it shows. The staff welcomes you as a volunteer, all you have to do is register in the Media Center. There are a lot of opportunities provided by the school and the PTA. Contact your child’s teacher or Cheryl McNeil to see how you can help.
